We are jazzed to introduce two new strains to our Illinois market -
Cali Chem and Bay Area Funk [B.A.F.] !
Interestingly, we can't exactly pinpoint the males involved in both of these projects. We do know that pollen was donated from one of the many projects aimed at advancing IC Collective's exploration into cannabis. The founder likes to push the boundaries of convention and see how things unfold, and the strains created in the pollen events lend themselves to the theory that good things can happen when one doesn't try too hard to control the outcome.
Cali Chem and Bay Area Funk are now at dispensaries - Cali Chem is available in Eighths and B.A.F. is available in Eighths and Half Ounces.
Check the Fresh Drops page on our website to see where you can find them.
GENETICS : Fog Dog x Unknown (Chem Scout x Chem 91 x Chem D)
A mystical concoction generated from a seed of Fog Dog and that is reminiscent of the classic Cali OG’s. We’re not quite sure how Cali Chem came to be, but we think there is a presence of Chem Scout, Chem 91 and Chem D within its flavor profile. The true genetics are shrouded in mystery thanks to Ben’s notorious ‘pollen-chucking.’ These buds tend to be on the big and fluffy side, which differs from the more dense nugs you typically get from IC Collective. The fluff fills up the jar while you still get that fuel in the terpene profile.
GENETICS : GSC Thin Mint seed
A true ode to the heyday of Cookies in true Cookies fashion. We don’t know when the exact conception of Bay Area Funk was—but we do know that it brings all the funk. Perhaps the truest Cookie-forward strain in our genetics catalog, this strain brings us back to the pre-Legalization era when Thin Mint was the cut to have.
